“I started working on Avatar 3 years ago and was working with Zbrush 2 ( that means no subtools!!) I had to work on a fairly slow laptop so that I could work directly with Jim Cameron on the mocap stage.
I was really green as a 3D artist but jumped in with both feet, after all this time I still really love the stuff we produced at Stan Winston Studio / Legacy effects.I was part of the group of artists that Designed the Na’vi characters I was responsible for working out Jake (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) Digital sculpts with expressions as a proof of concept for the look of the Na’vi people. I also did the designs for Norm (Joel Moore) as well as the Grace ( Sigourney Weaver}.
We also designed the Viper wolfs from a sketch of Camerons.
And fleshed out and detailed the head of the Banshee and figured out how it would function, that was a Neville Page designHere are some of the Images that I did for the film Hope you like them, It was a long while ago, it’s amazing how far CG has come from way back when these were done.”

Ghosts, ghouls, and goblins… oh my! With Halloween just around the corner, a favorite holiday for many deviants, Fella is preparing to eat a ton of candy, carve multiple jack-o-lanterns, and most importantly… decide on his Halloween costume. And that’s where you come in! DeviantART is proud to present Fella’s Halloween Contest!
We’ve made Fella’s Halloween Contest as inclusive as possible. The contest is open to ALL deviantART members (United States residents, non-United States residents, zombies, witches, warlocks, vampires, and so on). Additionally, because we want to maximize participation and allow artists of all mediums to enter, there are three ways to take part in the contest. You can enter as many times as you want, in multiple categories, but can only win once.
For more information visit the deviantArt news page about the contest.

Rocksteady Studio finds the best way forward by asking, ‘What would Batman do?’ Lead Character artist gives CGSociety a look inside Arkham Asylum.
Game Director Sefton Hill made the directive right at the beginning of the ‘Batman: Arkham Asylum’ project that every aspect of the project – from the game design through to the art had to be true to the Batman Universe and to Batman’s own personality characteristics. “We based all our decisions around this simple principle,” says Hill. “This made life a lot easier for us as it gave us a touchstone that would let us know if we were ever going off track, all we had to ask was, ‘What would Batman do?’ This resulted in the final product being true to the Batman brand, and produced a rich authentic experience for both the Batman disciple and those new to the caped crusader.”
