Job Postings

October 8, 2009

A new page has been added to wusiggraph.com under “Links.”

This page will link to various job postings.  Currently it is a list of company logos linking to said companies job posts on creativeheads.net.  The logo list will be updated as more job postings become available.

While this page will serve as a great resource, registering for the Heads Up newsletter at creativeheads.net is a great idea to get up to date job postings delivered directly to your email.

Click here to view the page.

If anyone wants to take the time to organize this page more let us know.  It is planned to be formatted in friendlier viewing format over Fall Break, but the job is open to anyone who would like to tackle it sooner.

Opportunity: Flash Video Game

October 7, 2009

Here ye! Here ye! All ye Video Game Developers lend me your ears (and eyes, and read)!

Nate Mayer, recent Webster alum, is starting project: a Flash game with a story, levels, worlds, etc.

Tentative story idea is a “haunted” circus or a scary funhouse with evil clowns possibly set in a whole circus land. This isn’t set in stone.

Nate will be writing the script, designing the levels and programming. The help he’s asking for is with creating the artwork for the worlds and characters. The only caveat is that it needs to be vector artwork so Flash or Illustrator (without any fancy effects or blending) are the tools.

When the project is finished and published, he would happily share any profits, but there is no guarantee of anything.

Contact Nate via Facebook or email him at: bf_arod3@hotmail.com

Your Allure needs graphic design wizardry!!!

Hey all!

Maria Ramirez would LOVE for some of our super, awesome, wonderful SIGGRAPHers to approach her in interest to help her redesign the Your Allure website.  Check it out now at www.your-allure.com.  She is looking to spice up the design as she moves to add a wordpress digital magazine.

I know so many of you rock at the photoshop/illustrator, so who wants to help?  The design would also be translated into merchandise and apparel.

This is an awesome opportunity and a great cross-club effort.  If you are interested, please contact Maria Ramirez @ yourallure@gmail.com or talk to me (Leah) at the next SIGGRAPH meeting.

Tsuss!

Leah
